Working of the System
- The vehicles are assigned to different depots with an ID.
- Geo-fencing of the depots is done.
- The routes are defined by the route masters every day.
- The buses move on the specific route for the day.
- The routes of the buses are divided into 2 routes - up and down.
- Each route has a route id and its description (voice messages that are announced at every station).
- The driver selects the route assigned to him in the mobile application.
Service and Maintenance of the Vehicles
The servicing and maintenance of the vehicles include maintaining the alert system (alerts which will be generated in the system or control room if the buses deviate from their path or any other alert is generated when the buses do not move according to the route), the maintenance of the tyers, maintaining the A/C services of the buses.
Bus Stop Master
This master stores the information of different bus stops. Each and every bus stop in the city is defined, its location is mapped with it and its prerecorded message which will also tell the description of the place for the tourists.
Time Scheduling
This will show the information to citizens regarding the time of arrival of the buses i.e. the time a bus is taking to arrive at the stop, the stoppage time of each bus at the stops, whether the bus is A/C or not, entire schedule of the buses according to the time at which they are expected to arrive at the respective stops.
Trip Creation
When the bus stops are defined in the Bus Stop Master then these bus tops are used for route assignment. The trips of the buses are defined with the routes. Each route is defined by the bus stops added from the bus stop master. This allows multiple number of buses to be assigned to the same route. It also shows the source and the destination of the bus i.e. from where it starts and where it ends and whether the trip of the bus is 'up' or 'down'.
Seating
This module allows the citizens to view the number of total seats, the number of vacant seats out of them in the buses.
Booking and ticketing
Citizen can book tickets from the mobile application. The tickets are generated from the e-ticket vending machine in the buses. To manage this the fare matrix issued by the govt. is incorporated in the system.
